Ok here my issue i was wondering when i pass my hand in front of my greddy type s bov i feel air blowing out of it and i was under the impression that air should only come out of it when you blow off now i have it vented becuase i am running a hks vpc so thats fine but i wanted to know. How can i go about closing the valve so that no air passes out of it uness im under boost. Also isnt that considered a boost leak ???

When I ran my 1g bov open there was a little air but I always thought it was because it wasnt a true "vent" style bov. similar to the type S. Also you should be creating vaccum @ idle. where exactly are you putting your hand?

my 1g bov is always open a bit and i switched mine like 4 times and same thing, i know its a boost leak but i can't do poop about it

Ok all these sound real helpful but i dont think you guys understand. The type s has a big output in the front of it where it should be recirculating but i am venting so air is blowing out threw there. I suppose the valve is open and air is passing by it. How can i close the valve so no air passes threw it. I know you have to adjust the screw on the top of the type s but "HOW" there is a nut there but if I take it off nothing happens I guess some how I have to move the actual screw how do I do that. I hope this helps you guys understand my problem a little bit more.

Ok you have to do what he 1993eclipseGS said.

If you mean the puck is opening and causing air to release at idle, Then you need to loosen the locking nut on top, The turn the allen key screw down, Until the puck closes. Then tighten the locking nut again.

Once you take off the nut you turn the allen key down until it is shut. Sorry if I am misunderstanding your problem, but they way I am reading 1993eclispseGS said it best; loosen the nut then turn the screw down until it closess.

Read the information given to you :thumb:
If you are as far along as to have your BOV venting you must know something. Unless you just removed the recirc tube :nono:

Yeah, You should recirculate unless you have the proper tools in order to let you vent, But that's a whole different story that has been discussed over and over.

As I, And now others have already previously stated before your last post, We gave you the information needed to fix the problem. If the problem persists AFTER you try what you are being told to do, Then come back and post about it.

Ok I fixed the bov problem now no more air is blowing threw there unless I blow off but my idle is now at 1300 and I adjusted the biss screw and its closed all the way and it still idle's like that I was thinking it might be becuase the biss screw is striped all the way I cant barley move it anymore so maybe air was coming out threw there. I thought it was becuase of the bov but i guess not so can you guys help me with this please.

Yes i have all that besides the gm maf. I dont need that since im running an hks vpc.

If you guys read the first post, he said he had an hks vpc so he's good there. The question is about the bov, not venting to the atmosphere. If its leaking air out of the mouth (where it blows off) you just need to tighten the bolt w/ an allen key, then tighten the nut down as previously stated. But be careful, the bolt has been known to strip out. This happened on my greddy bov, causing surge to my turbo. I wont ever buy a greddy bov because of this. I didnt even have it down that tight and it stripped. But anyways, just tighten it and adjust to where its good.
