This weekend I am buying/installing a new turbo, which one....depends on the feedback.
My question is should i go with a 60-1 or 50 trim. i can get a 50 trim for a good price rite now but i want to go with the more efficient turbo, not thinking about the price tag. I have no internals done and hope to run around 20-22 psi on pump gas. I'm also staying with an internal gate. The rest of my mods are in my profile. I know this question about which turbo to get can be a touchy subject but I appreciate any feedback on this important decision.
thanks jon

50trim if u gonna run 20-22 psi with stock internals.

The 50 trim good for about 18-23 psi on pump is going to be the best turbo for pump gas.

I second that. 60-1 isnt goint to be as efficient at such a low boost level. It starts to shine at 24psi but Im sure stock internals wont like it.
my stock internals like 23psi daily of 60-1 flow and 28psi of track flow

Its funny that you run that much when in another post, you are saying that you have timing nightmares with 680's and afc. If you really had any sense, you would remedy your timing problems before you went that large or that high of boost. Regardless, your stock internals wont live long abusing them like that. Argue with me all you want, I dont care. Its your $ and your car, not mine.

50 trim. :thumb:

the reason I am saying this is because I have the TO4B and its kicks ass. A 50 trim is supposed give you a little more kick in the midrange and on top end.....and like everybody said if your going to run 20-22 on stock internals, its a good setup.

go 50 trim and never look back, it is an outstanding turbo and will max your stock internals out (400+whp) my friend has a 50 trim with a 99 gst and has beaten vipers and porsche turbos, this turbo is no joke, great street/track turbo

thanks a lot for the feedback guys, I think I wil stick with getting a 50 trim just until I can afford new internals. I will keep you posted on my experience with my first turbo upgrade :thumb:

good luck. I just upgraded from my t25 and it feels as if im driving a different car....in every way. You will see what i mean when you get it on.
