when i first bout my greddy turbo timer installed it work fine took it out of car for awhile. i put it back in today it turns on but when u turn the car off it doesnt let the car idle. also the manual says if u push certain buttons things happen. like push the p+s but nothing happens. i used the harness to connect it ive checked and rechecked everything what could it be

Wiring issue. Do you have the e brake safety wire hooked up? I heard that some timers don't work if it's not hooked up.

i didnt have it hooked up b4 thats the problem. the only thing i did was unplug the timer. i can set the countdown time but when i turn the car off the timer turns off

Sounds like you have the power wires mixed up. The power wire that is supposed to have power all the time sounds like it only has power when the ACC is on or something to that effect.

The problem is probably a setting and not wiring related if you bought the harness.

The button sequence is tricky on Greddy TT's...here's what you HAVE to do to get it to work.

1- Put the key to on, don't start the car.

2- Press P+S+T (basically hold Power (P) button down and press the other 2 buttons together, you have to hit them together, I know its not easy but keep at it.) Do that until you see the Sud label.

3- Now While still hodling the Power (P) button, press S alone until you see 1G then let everything go.

4- It will flash a bit and settle, if you used the harness, leave it on 1G and make sure the switch in the back of the unit is placed towards the edge of the timer. If it displays Acc, then make sure the switch is away from the edge of the timer

5- Once both those setting are set, hold down P and press S once, you will see Rpm. Let everything go.

6- Press S once and the first digit will flash and display 0, press it again and the second will flash and display 0, press it again and the 3rd will flash and display 0.

7- Now hold down P and press S once again just to switch displays.

8- Keep P held down and press S & T together until you are at the countdown screen (count (a))

9- Turn the key off and see if the timer starts counting down to the time you set it to.

10- If #9 works fine, start the car, let it run 10 seconds and turn it off.

Voila, not all that easy and the manual doesn't really explain it that well but the Rpm step is VERY important if not your timer will simply look for abc x10 rpm's before it starts working. Setting it to 0 ensures that it works all the time.

Hope this helps and let me know if you need more info.

I have a Blitz F.A.T.T., are those steps about the same because I am having the same problem with mine. Everything works while the car is running, adds time to the timer depending on how I drive it and everything, but it just won't let the car idle, i have the harness on mine too. Thanks in advance.

James

Check all your connections specially the ebrake wire. Mine did that when it was loose (the purple wire).

tried it got everything to work and set as u said and when i turn the car off turbo timer turns off to. tried the switch in both postions and same thing everything is set just as u said what to do now

check part numbers for the harness that connects to the stock ignition. A 1g TT harness is different then a 2g TT harness. Make sure you were not given the wrong plug and play harness. It will act exactly as you describe.

Let me know if that works. Good luck

i had it hooked up when i first got it about a year ago i took it out of my car all i did was unplug it left everthing else hooked up was out of car for 3 months now it doesnt want to work but it worked b4

HEY I had the same problem! i had my TT installed wihtout the ebrake and i used the harness as well...my car is a 2G...i took it off so i could replace the battery and then i put it back and it simply doesnt work...i emailed XTREMEPSI and they said theyll take the product back and check to see if theres a problem with it.....i think its the product itself that has a problem and it angered very much...i tried like a dozen different things to see of theres was nethin wrong and its like the TT power source shuts off with the car, instead of keeping it on....i checked to see if the harness wires had ne problems and they were fine electricity was runnin thru them....

I've run and installed TT's without using the e-brake without issues. On Greddy TT's it makes no difference if it's plugged in or not.

99% of the time I found that the settings (1G and Rpm) were wrong as was the switch in the back of the unit. Setting the Rpm to 000 and putting the check to Acc and the switch away from the edge of the unit in the back resolved the problem each time. I also used the check to the IG setting and the switch towards the edge of the unit in the back.

I'll see if I can get pictures and maybe a video to show you what I mean.

I'm sure its a setting if you're using the adapter harness.

Pm me if you need more info or help.

ive tried everysetting i could think off still turns off. it doesnt countdown. i start the car let it run 5minuts and as soon as i turn the car off the timer turns off. if i put the key in and turn it the timer comes on when i start it turns off then turns on but wont count down even if i set it to count down it just stays there when i turn car off it turns off. at wit ends with this thing
