Turbo Rebuild HELP!!

Hey I have two questions. Like i said in one of my earlier threads I am rebuilding a TD05H Evo 3 Big 16g turbo for the first time.

So my first question is when putting the turbine housing (hot side) on the CHRA there should be a locating pin on my turbine housing but there is not? It has the pin hole where the pin should go on the CHRA but I don't know what to do about lining it up with no pin in the turbine housing. Help?

Second question is how do I know when the compressor cover snap ring is fully installed?

I'm so close to having my turbo rebuit and am very excited to get it back onto the car so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The snap ring should fit semi inside the lip, and be snug.

Your turbine housing, you could always put it on the car mark it,then attach the turbing housing where it should be.You obviously know that the inlet on the housing should be pointing up.

Yeah i was banging on it pretty hard, it just seems like it isn't in all the way and the only thing that worries me about the turbine housing is that it says it have to be EXACTLY matched up to the pin for proper alignment of oil supply, drain, and coolant lines.
