ive been looking at getting a new turbo...i have decided on a 50 trim...i was stuck on getting the machv.com rs49 but i was looking at the bullseye power t04b it comes with the water cooled center cartridge...and is cheaper...

heres the question...im assuming the water feed and return are not going to bolt in stock locations right? so i will have to get a stainless system or some other means of getting it coolant...

anyone who has either of these turbos if u could give me some advice id appreciate it...

Those are oil cooled ONLY turbo's. I have an RS49 from AGPturbo.com. I have the water lines plugged and the oil comes from the oil filter housing for more volume to help cool. You will need the oil feed and drain lines as they are very beefy and can move more oil than stock. Mark

Yeah, If you want to read 26 pages of....nothing.

Look, The water lines should be the least of your concern. Water lines are only nessisary if your turbo has a GT ball-bearing cartridge.

Standard bearing turbos (14b, 20g, t04b, 50trim, etc) do not need water lines. You can block them off, and allow for at least a minute of cool down before shutdown.

This also cleans up the engine bay a wee bit! :thumb:

What have you got for supporting modifications? (FMIC, Fuel injectors, pump, clutch, etc)
And what are the goals of the car?

-Smooth driver, with quick spoolup? (16g size)

-Less smooth driver, with a little more lag, but good top end. (t04b)

-Even less smooth driver, due to boost not hitting till 3500-4000, but smoke everything on the street/track. (50 trim)

How sure are you about not needing water lines on a 14b? Anyone else support this theory as I would like to do it to clean the engine bay up a little bit more if it works.

The pencil pushers at Mitsu knew what they were doing, leave them untilyouget an oil cooled only and then you willneed toget the oil feed from the oil filter housing. Mark

Hi,

If you like the AGP RS49, then why not buy it directly from AGP. It's cheaper ($850) then machv ($999). And agp has an 50 trim from turbonetics that bolds on to our manifolds for even less ($699).

I went for the AGP RS60T and drove it for the first time yesterday, no problms without a tune!Mark

Does anybody know anthing about diesel turbos. Is there any differences in a diesel turbo and a gas burner.
