well my plans for boosting my 95 gs may be screwed now because my compression read out to 125 for each. :barf: im not sure if they did a cold check or not but the leak down test apparently went fine. my question now is:
1) should i rebuilt the 420a like i futurely planned to and then hok the turbo up?
2) buy a stock engine and boost that
3) what can i do to get around this? wouldnt lower compression actually be better for my turbo install? i have a huge fmiic and only want to run around 7psi.
but anyways, let me know. cuz right now i have a manifold, garrett BB t25 turbo, Greddy type s BOV, and 24x12x2 intercooler and other things for boosting laying in my room. im trying to figure something out before i bite the bullet.
later guys.

check the PM. 125 for each is weird and im wondering if maybe the compression gauge was broken. does the car seem slow?(well slower then ours already are :p )

im not too sure i have only driven a A/T eclipse and it was slower then mine. im hoping he can use another compression gauge from my buddy. my plans are :thumbdown with boosting now. im just looking at internals now.

if you rebuilt an your 420a engine the turbo charge it your looking at spending a large chunk of change. your best bet would be to just swap in a 4g63t.

ah yes, and a 4G63 swap would be cheaper? not by a long run. Rebuild the 420a, with the proper internals and whatnot you'll be able to boost pretty high when you do decide to slap on a hairdryer :thumb:

Just goes to show that there are 4G63 guys who don't have a clue.

hmm, seems to be what all the 4g63t guys say... have u checked the prices on that? seems to cost a pretty penny, seeing that its custom work to make the 4g63t engine fit... rebuild it, slap a turbo kit on her, and be proud that you yourself made it go fast, not be a lil sissy boy and buy it that way ;) :thumb:

[long, drown out voice] Frickin Idiottttttttttttt!

yea i was planning to rebuild but now im considering a 2.2 stroker kit from howell for 2400 or so. what would the adfvantages and disadvantages of this be? worth it? i also heard of something called a 420a ricekiller head? if i was gonna rebuild it i want to to be powerful and done once with quality parts. :thumb:
