First off, I want to say that I am very disappointed at Turbo garage and will not be doing business with them again. I order the 2G Intake Heat Shield. Here is there link: http://turbogarage.com/dsm_intake.asp (scroll down little) First thing I got charged $30 plus $15 for shipping so $45 total. It comes in the mail today and I noticed it only cost them $7 to ship, so I wasn't too happy with that. So I go on to open the box and there it lays uncovered. I looked at this and was like wow, they must have made this in like 5-10 min. Looked like very poor quality. All scratched up and marker marks showing where they had cut it. And in the pic on their site, it shows how it has a black rubber lining and I didn't have that. Another thing is that it didn't fit. I guess it's only for stock 2g intake, which it did not say on their site, but that's not an issue, I just had to cut the end off. So I emailed them about the shipping and the lining. As for the shipping he says they base it on ups but mine was sent usps and it can't be exact, which is bull because when I send something, I simply weigh it and do a price quote and I get within cents of what I thought it was, so that was them just being lazy. So then he says next time I buy something he will give me a discount, but there won't be a next time. As for the lining he says nobody uses it and it only cost a $1 at home depot. Fine, but don't show a pic with it on your site and don't include it, so I wasn't pleased with that. So overall I am not happy but I got it on and its ok. If your going to make a product put some effort in it.
This is from another member on here. "It also doesn't fit my ebay intake either and when I laid the ebay one side by side next to the stock one, they are the same size, maybe off by about half an inch. I think it's a design flaw but then again I don't know. In their picture, the barrier sits right next to the coolant tank as does mine. Yet the end piece I still had to bend to make it fit. Also, something like this could be made from $15 worth of sheet metal from Home Depot. Their sheetmetal cutting skills are not the greatest either. My biggest gripe is that they did not deburr ANY of the edges. I almost cut myself when I started to handle with it. All sheet metal products should be deburred at the edges where it was cut. I had to take my own file and deburr it down. The lack of the rubber lining also didn't help much either. I personally rate it a 4/10".
