was doing some reading on a DIY project i have been working on to build a cold box basically for my intake. I stumbled across this case study of a project Lotus is running call Turbo-cooling. Basically adds a device between the turbo and intake manifold to greatly reduce AIT. With inter coolers you cant drop the AIT below ambient temperatures. Pretty interesting stuff. go to http://www.wdlpower.co.uk/downloads/PTNSS_2005_TCS_Paper.pdf I was planning on doing mine with some sheet metal and a mini freezer that im tearing apart. These guys at lotus sure aren't tearing apart freezers to lower there AIT.
