Edm,
Ok I finished my Turbo Conversion yesterday. It took a long time to start, but eventually I got it. I drove it around for 5min with no apperent problems. Then I got to a stop sign and my car stalled out. It was very dificult to start back up, it kept stalling and when I finaly got it driving agin I was pretty much at WOT and it was only reving at 2000rpm, The car felt like it had 20hp. and it sounded awfull. I noticed I had a slight vacume leak in the pcv valve, I fixed it and still have the same problem. I crank it the car shakes and stumbles to 1000rpm, then it stalls. and when I give it lots of gas it just stumbles at 2000rpm.

I also smell burning oil, and there is some smoke coming out of the valve cover breather.

Please help, thanks

what fuel mods are you using? fuel pump/injectors?
what about the ecu? Stock n/t ecu or turbo ecu?
list the mods you did to your car in order to do the turbo conversion

yes my compression is fine, The car is in exellent condition, The performance head is only 3 months old.
I think its a fuel problem, not enough fuel I think.

which vfaq did you follow?? mine or the other one on there?

Well both, Both you guys have the same parts listed for the conversion.

I'm running 7psi

how would you be running out of fuel then if your only at 7psi?

have you checked all of your intercooler piping connections. i know i blew mine off the first time i fired mine up as well.

Check your intercooling pipes. Like Kyle said, it sounds like it's blown off. Get a logger, hooked up and read everything possible when the cars on and look for abnormalities.

I havn't been at home to work on my car in a couple of days, but I hope it's a intercooler hose.

Did you guys have any trouble to start with?

I plan on fixing it tonight I'll let you guys know what happens

thanks for the help guys,

BTW: did you guys use the N/T fuel regulator or the turbo regulator?

i used an turbo at first, then an nt, now i use an sx adjustable. either the nt or the turbo will work. apparently the nt will get you another 6psi or something like that at the rail and it also raises linearly with boost.

Ok guys, I reset my ECU, the took it for a drive. The car ran great other than occationaly idling out. It was so fast I could hardly get traction. It was boosting to 9psi.
After driving for 15min, I droped off a friend and I had the same problem from before.
I don't think i'm getting any fuel. My A/F shows i'm running very lean... hardly any gas at all. When a was driving 5min prior to that I had a perfect mixture all the way to red line.

Please help,
thanks.

The part I don't understand is how it only works sometimes.
Could it be a bad resistor pack?
fuel pump?

I changed back to the N/T injector regulator, and when the car is running well it's running slightly richer, and when the car is running like crap it's a little better with the N/T regulator but it's getting major fuel cut and It's studdering like crazy even with no boost.

have you tried another ecu? or checked to see if all your grounds near the ecu are good.
