I aplogize guys. but I've reseached the forum and the link poeple have submited and I'm still a bit lost and undecided.
Here's deal, I have a 2g 95 GSX and I would like a complet turbo-back system (I want to run a Hiflow catalytic convert but I can do that later) and price is an issue,(maybe $400) wish I could afford a Apexi or a Thermal R&D or another big name brand but is not going to happen plus, I live Buffalo,NY so there's snow and salt on the road bout 7-8 months out the year an I've heard of rusting on the big name brand, Stainless steel or not. Which brings me to my second issue, Tone. I want to hear it at WOT but I don't want to have to scream at my passenger when crusin. Lastly I can accept if I must buy the downpipe and the exhaust system separately but if I can get them together and install at the same time, that just one less thing to deal with. I appreciate any and all that took the time to read my whaos and any idea no matter what is wanted.

Just get a muffler, whichever one suits your fancy, and then take it to a muffler shop and ask them to hook it up with 2.5 inch piping from the cat back. You'll stay under your budget and you wont have to worry about f*&^*(*& up your million dollar exhaust system. Downpipe 200 +testpipe 25+muffler 75+piping and install 100= *400*.

Local muffler shops and speed shops are your best bet. Got a full 3" turbo back in stainless with a high flow cat, and a stock looking muffler for a fraction of what it would have cost me to get it ordered by a big name manufacturer. Sounds good too, no fart noises here, just a low rumble.

You can do a muffler shop if that's what you really prefer. It's just that you don't get the experience of putting on exhaust yourself and if money is an issue you are just spending even more on labor when you could do it yourself for free. But, if you're not worried about gaining experience from working on your car yourself and the muffler shop comes out to be cheaper, go for it.

This guy makes a nice turbo back w/ or w/out cat. Mandrel Bent for $400-450. Just e-mail him. http://www.hidtuning.zoomshare.com/0.html
Too much. A good exhaust shop should be able to make you a 3" catback with muffler, installed, for around $200..$250 at the most. (Plus the cost of the downpipe, you're looking at around $360 at most)

Yep when i had my 1g talon I bought and HKS muffler and they installed it with three in piping and even made me a test pipe for $150. As for putting it on yourself, no worries your not missing much, its also more annoying than it is hard because of those pesky rusted bolts.

Lots of good ideas guys keep em comin, but I have to say I like the satisfaction of wrenckin on my car. I'll most likely make a decision in the next week or so. I'll keep you posted.

Not to change the subject but isn't a 3" exhaut better to get all the stock 2g turbo has to offer then a 2.5" exhaut. I do not intend to upgragde my trubo.

If you are never going to updgrade your turbo and you're sure of it, then i'd just go with 2.5". The 2g T25 turbo is even smaller than the 1g 14B, and many 1g guys will only upgrade to 2.5" if they know they are sticking with their stock turbo because it provides plenty of flow. If you are looking for high HP (350+), then you'll want 3", but you'll need a bigger turbo first. So, just save yourself some money and stick with the 2.5" if you're sure you won't be upgrading your stock turbo.

So you're saying that you found a shop that has a mandrel bender and will build you an exhaust system with that mandrel bender for $200. Mandrel bent? Mandrel.

A crush bent exhaust system is only as good as its angles where the crush is. a 3" crush bent 90* elbow flows less than a 2 1/4" mandrel bent 90*.

Thanks for the tip. Like I said I don't plan on changing the stock t 25 and I'm not tring to build a (350HP+) car. My goal is to get (300 HP) or as close a i can with out changing the t25. Still reconmend 2.5 turbo back exhaust?

2.5" inch will still be fine if you're trying to put up 300 Hp. Plus, 2.5" has gone 11's in the 1/4 mile before. Your car will only be as strong as the weakest link, and if you're trying to get 300 Hp, the 2.5" exhaust won't be it.

Thank you very much for pitching my product! Appreciate it very much. Let me know if you need anything in the future.

Thanks,
