i know similar topics have been beat to death but i'm not satisfied with my search results. I'm getting my motor fully built. To be general about it , it is a 2.0L with fully ported and built head and magnus intake manifold and 272's hks cams. I have a turbonetics t3 manifold that i'm getting ported so the turbo has to be a t3 flange. My question is what turbo should i go with with a t3 hot side and not ball bearing that can get me 450 - 550 range. I dont care about lag or pump or race gas.. right now i got a 50 trim but i want something bigger. And the only turbo's i deal with are turbonetics turbos. i just want some to give me insite on a good combination.

thanks

Call turbonetics or go to there website. They have lots of good info there to help you choose a turbo.

ok........... thanks for the replies

i think i'll go with something like that turbo in that link above except....a stage 5 exhaust wheel what do you guys think about that

Have your reached the full potential of the 50 trim yet, I think you could be satisfied with it. I Have a t-netics "super" 50 right now and I put down 402 on pump gas at 24psi. After meth injection and me upping the boost another 10 pounds or so I am convinced I will see at least a 50whp increase in power. A 60-1 is a great race gas turbo but it just doesn't seem to perform to well on pump gas. This is all my personal experience mind you. A gt30r is a great race gas turbo(or pump plus meth injection).

i defiantly have not reached the full potential of the 50 trim turbo...but with my new setup its going to be a weak link....i'm going to have to take the turbo out of its efficiency range to make the power that i'm looking for. I want to be able to make 450-500 with out pushing the turbo to hard also room for more power if i need it. 50 trims are good for around 400 but around 500 is pushing it to its limits.

I will look at that gt30 turbo and see what thats all about but turbonetics has been real good to me and my boy that runs 9's so i got to stay with them.....thanks

^^ I understand, just food for thought my buddy just made 514 awhp on a mustang dyno with his gt30r. He just put in meth injection and is hoping for close to 600 its a very potent turbo.
Full garrett? Specs? What turbine housing, comp housing, etc...
