Ok now that I have my afc installed correctly, I will be taking my car to the local shop where they are going to help me tune the afc. Before I do this I have a few questions

How much boost should I tune for? Right now it is at about .7bar (10.15psi)

What is the max boost my setup can handle? (safely LOL)

According to the guy I bought the car from, he says I have a walbro255...What do I look for when I check the pump for that?

As of right now my setup is:
hacked mas
B16g (non evo)
450cc injectors
stock fpr
walbro255-most likely
joe p mbc

Thanks guys
-Ken

Checking for the fuel pump is the same as the install so look on vfaq. However, an upgraded fuel pump makes some noise so if you can hear a wine around the fuel pump area inside the car, you most likely have the 255 the guy said. I wouldn't run more than 14 with the stock injectors. You need some 550s to go with the 16g to run more psi.

They are all different. I can only hear mine if i listen for it and i have the 255 high pressure. My friend's gst sounds like a huge racing fuel pump is in there...you can hear it outside.

Yea, injectors are next, as well as the softwae for my datalogger. So are we all agreed on 13psi with the stock fuel system? LOL

Instead of paying the local shop to help you tune, I would take that money and invest in some larger injectors and maybe an AFPR. Then get the software for your logger and we will be more than happy to help you tune. There are a good bit of tuners on this board that are very good and really know what they are talking about.

Plus, you will know what to look for in your logs, which will help you spot problems before they become dangerous. It will also help you to "maintain" your tune as the weather (mainly temperature) changes. :thumb:

to do base tuning on the afc, what am I supposed to be doing on it. with the settings now I have karmen, +-3 correction, 4 cyl arrow up. When I look at my gauges afl shows 0. Whats next?
