Okay, I tried installing the amp and My stereo has no power for some reason. Yesterday, it was saying BAT ERROR on the screen and it kept turning on and off so i unhooked the wireharness(i got a audiovox cd/dvd). I check the wires, but they all seem to be properly attatched to each other. If it is the fuse, Which fuse is it?

For the amp. The previous owner used to have a system in the car so the wires are all there. The power, RCA cables and etc.
For grounding the wire, do i have to drill a hole on the car chasis and ground it? I tried to stick it on to a screw on the car but the amp didnt turn on.(it was without REMOTE wire since stereo didnt work, though it wouldnt matter). I have ideas on how it will wire up and everything, but I think I will need an advice on setting up the amp.

Im planing to use one subwoofer on the back.

Can someone start me off with basics on what i should do? even a link to instructions would be much appreciated.
Thanks~

the remote wire is important. without it, your amp doesn't know to turn on and put out power to the sub. this remote must have power if you want the amp to run, but you don't want it on when the car isn't on (your battery will die.) a good idea is to run it to the cigarette lighter (it turns on and off with the ignition.) Next, a good place to ground your subs is a rear seatbelt bolt. They are always mounted to the chassis, a perfect place to ground the amplifier. Take out your rear seats, unbolt a seatbelt, sand the chassis down to the bare metal underneath the bolt, put down the ground cable and bolt the seatbelt clip back in place. Make sure you spray it with rust inhibitor afterwords (usually gooey shit they use on batteries, it will keep the ground from corroding and losing its effectiveness.) a good ground is as important as the power source.

as far as the deck i dont really know what to tell you. possibly get hold of audiovox customer service, never dealt with an audiovox deck before. Batt error most likely means there is something wrong with the power. try hardwiring the deck instead of running it through the harness (using a fuse of course, just incase), perhaps that will help you isolate the problem to either the harness, or the deck itself.
