Im in a delema right now. I can't decied where to send/buy my head from, and what all to have done to it. Im re-building my motor right now, and the cylinder head is in need of some help. The valves are burnt and everything is just a mess. Im looking to make in the ball park of 300-400 hp on a Bullseye V-Trim, stock cams, stock intake manifold. So far I have found 3 heads that have peaked my intrest. The stage 3 from SBR http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=1036&, the package 1 from Jacksons Auto Machine http://www.jacksonautomachine.com/html/shopping/list_section.cfm?sectionId=26, and the rebuilt head, stainless valves, and bowl and chamber porting from DSMotorsports http://www.diamondstarmotorsport.com/machinework.shtml . Im looking for a good head that will flow decent and turn 7-8k no problem, and will be able to flow enough for future modifications. Are there any others that I should look into? Any other features like titanium retainers? Thanks!

I think the JAM head would be a better for your aplication and the quality of the work is better than the other 2 in my oppinion. You dont need huge ports. Oversize valves, radias valve job and new bronze guides is all you need along with light porting and bowl work. The race heads are for guys turning 9000 RPM on a track car and run big cams unlike yourself. Stick with the small ports.
