I have started a discussion about this kit on 2GNT, but I know some of you guys don't check that website out, so I decided to make a thread here about it.

I came across one of their manifolds on eBay a little while back, very closely resembled the Star manifold and was a cast piece. Looked like very good quality from the pics and now they just released their turbo kit on eBay as well. It is missing a few things like a fuel pump, FMU, and FCD or missing link, but other than that I think the price is hard to beat for the parts included in it. Here's the link:

Haha, yeaahhhh I remember you total05... You had some fun harassing me on 2gnt, huh?

I don't see oil lines, no feul components, and from the description, no downpipe. They calim its 2.5 mandrel bend piping (WELD to fit any setup) which implies you will probably need to DIY.

It's a better looking kit then most out there, but I'd still be weary about all the ins-and outs needed. For the feul setup, oil supply, and downpipe (IF you need to buy on already made) theres easily an extra $6-700 or so left to spend for completing this kit.

Yep that was me, good times haha.

Back on topic, the oil feed and return lines are included with all hardware needed. It includes the flange and piping for the downpipe, but it uses 2.25" piping, not 2.5" which is kind of dissapointing.

So actually, throw a new Walbro 255 in there for $90, FMU for $110, and missing link/FCD for $50? Actually when you think about it, they left it open for someone to buy injectors, SFMU, etc. to run more than 10 psi on their engines (if it is built for it).

Yes, there will probably be some welding costs for the downpipe, but it shouldn't be anywhere near 6-7 hundred. Maybe 3-4 for all those extra parts and labor.

looks like a good quality kit for the price. if it has the parts for the setup your interested in then of course it would be a good deal.

WTF What are you talking about man? The oil lines are clearly visible in the ad, and the attatchment pieces to hook them up. The downpipe is clearly visible too, you can tell the difference in metal/aluminum with the naked eye, just looking at the picture. Not to mention it says and I quote, "Steel downpipe kit (weld to fit ANY setup), includes mandrel bent 2.25 piping!" So where you got 2.5" I don't know, maybe you mis-read when they mentioned the IC pipes? That said, it looks to me like all you really need is some fuel support which will be around $250 for everything shipped, as well as the misc. nuts and bolts.

You might also want to direct your attention to the note in the ad. that mentions you need to buy FMU, fuel pump, missing link/FCD.

I'd suggest you do alittle more reading and pay alittle more attention before pointing out problems that aren't there.

I think the kit looks great personally. Name brand parts are used, the manifold is cast so you know it's durable. There are even a few members on 2gnt that are running them without problem. It comes with 95% of the parts needed to sucessfully turbo the 420a and is more affordable than any other kit I've seen pre fabricated. Not to mention thus far the sellers feedback is 100%.

Damn Crazy. I wouldn't have given my .02 if I knew you'd chew on me like that. :notgood: I didn't meen to put 2.5, it was a simple error on my part. As for the quote, you can make ANY 2.5 PIPE FIT ANY CAR/SETUP WITH WELDING. I could make a downpipe for a geo metro with 2.5" piping and a welder, it's a universal quote. As for the oil lines, I see ONE line that doesn't look anywhere near 30". We require a longer line then most boosted cars. Tell me where you see the other line... ?

I said the kit looks better then most I've seen, after a quick run-down of most the parts. Didn't meen to offend you there, don't take it personally. You don't need to tell me to read better before I post. I;m not giving misinformation to some newb rebuilding a costly motor, it was a review of a turbo kit. No harm done.

Don't think I'm picking on you personally. I would do the same to anyone I felt was making a false claim.

So what you meant was you don't see enough oil line. To me it looks like when un-coiled that line would be over 30".

From the description, no pre-fabricated downpipe. There is a specific section describing the diameter and that the pipe provided can be welded to fit any system. Sure there is some DIY, which is probably why it costs less than other kits. As for the typo..Proof reading helps :p but we all make that mistake from time to time.

It is a good looking kit, but I highly doubt there will be more less that $600-700 worth of parts needed.

I was just pointing out my arguments so you know I wasn't just picking on you for no reason:)

Your post hurt my feelings. ROFL

No but seriously you've got to be weary of the ebay kits because that is a universal quote. You could weld a downpipe for any car with 2.5 mandrel bent piping and a welder. Thats what I was saying.

I've got the hahn I/C pipes, and none of those look like the plumbing needed for bolt on 420a boost. Although, there is plenty of pipe I'm sure to MAKE the I/C piping... I dont know. I'm not replying to this thread anymore. Nice kit. :dsm:

Don't let me run you off from the thread man, I'm just arguing valid points so others don't go misinformed. You said no oil lines, when there are and no downpipe when there is. ;)

Sure that's a universal quote, but so what? The kit doesn't say it's all pre-fabrabricated, if it did then it'd be a whole different ballgame, because you do in fact have to measure cut and weld the downpipe, and connect the IC pipes with couplers to make them fit. Which really isn't THAT hard since you're supplied a sufficient amount of pipe for both the IC and downpipe :thumb:

That looks like a pretty decent kit with some good parts, I would consider it if I was looking for a kit. And to whoever said it didn't come with oil lines, it clearly says in the description it comes with a 3 foot oil supply line and 1 foot oil return
