Looking at a GS in Massachusetts. Wish it were a GSX, but it looks real good. Trans needs to be rebuilt or replaced. My question is can anyone shoot me a rough estimate of what a quality rebuild might cost. I looked at Jacks Transmissions webpage, but probably don't have the means for that. Thanks to anyone who can chime in.

Going with a GS but wish it were a GSX? That's a big jump haha. I was calling around tranny shops awhile back about a rebuild, and was quoted anywhere from 1000-2000. Nothing lower than 1k.

LOL, yeah want a GSX, but Waaaay more GS out there. GSX are out there, but not as many with auto.

I say if you can find a GSX, jump on it. Stick isn't that hard:cool:

As far as the transmission goes, you will probably be better off buying a used one and swapping it in.
