transmission fluid where the heck is it from help please!

ok at the moment i got under the car and i see trans fluid leaking down from the back side. i have no idea where its coming from. i checked both axles there in both my drain plug and fill plug is on tight i changed the fluid a week or so ago and my friend helped me and he filled it to the very top. could that be the cause ? if so where could it be coming from ?

The manual tranny is a filled to till the point it flows out the hole ... then that is enough. Sounds like your friend filled it correctly. Off the top of my head I would say the seal that connects the transfer case is leaking.

hrmm that is possible it just seems wierd how its coming from the back side of the tranny almost like from the top
