2G trans pump

does anyone know how to tell if there trans pump is bad? I think mine was bad before I bought the car(with no motor) and I have the trans out and on the work bench. Is there a visual was to tell if the pump is bad?

just unbolt the front pump. it should be the first thing in the transmission. pull it out and you should be able to take it apart and check it out. ive only done this with trans's out of chrysler minivans but id think there similar.
