What is the trick to removing the pump from these tranny's without damaging anything. I can't find any place I feel safe pulling on and ofcourse nothing to start bolts into to pull out on.

Thanks in advance for any advise.

Solution
I actually just threaded a set of starter bolts into the pump holes at 3 and 9 O clock. Those 2 have larger thread bore.

I threaded those in by hand switching back and forth between the 2 and the pump slowly backed out.
I know this will sound odd, but i used a 4 inch vice (not bolted to anything) and some paint sticks or rubber. I clamped the shaft sandwiching the wood/rubber on the machined surfaces (not hard enough to crush anything) and gently pulled until it came out (along with a big gasp of suction). Removing the end clutch cover and/or trans cooler hoses might help with the suction and make it easier to remove as well. Good luck, and hope this helps some.
