  I have a 90 talon awd when I start the car holding down the cluch seams fine when I let of the cluch with the car in neutral the car starts to move also when I move the shifter to first or second it moves freely like there are no gears there but 3rd,4th.5th and reverse click into gear I think theres something wrong with the shifter pin in the trans what do you guys think any on else had this kind of problem :( :(

If the car starts to move in neutral when you let out the clutch, there's only two things I can think that can cause that. One is the clutch barely disengaging. The other, which happened to me, was a piece of my clutch disk chipped off and lodged in between the flywheel and clutch. Now, it might not be a clutch piece for you, it could be anything. But, it kept contact and didn't allow the clutch to fully disengage, causing my car to creep forward like an automatic.

On my 96 talon one of those pins that holds the hifter cables in place on top of the transmission fell off making it go into 1, 3, and 5th but not 2, 4, r could be the same as far as that problem is concerned, cause there are two pins holding in each cable, one cable for 1,3,5 and the other for 2,4,r
