Tranny question??

I just pulled the end case off of my AWD tranny and had a question about the reverse brake syncro on top of 5th gear and the other ring that sits on top of it. When I pulled my end case off the ring that sits on the gold colored reverse brake syncro looks to be mangeled to sh*t. Is this piece suppose to be flat? I included pictures of the two parts for you. And does anyone know the part numbers for both of these parts? Thanks in advance.

Nobody has ever pulled apart an AWD tranny? I need to know if the ring that sits on top of the gold colored reverse gear brake syncro is suppose to be flat or not, mine looks mangled? It is the very first ring when you pull off the end case cover.

are you sure you aren't just talking about the wave spring? It's supposed to NOT be flat ... there's 2 tabs on it that line it up with the end case.
