Tranny Question?

Ok, I have a 91 eagle talon tsi. It's awd and I need a tranny. I saw a 92 mitsubishi eclipse tranny in the paper it doesnt say wither it awd or not. My question is if its not will it some how work with awd. This may sound stupid but what I mean is, is the hole for the transfer case just plugged on 2wd or is it just completly differnt?

You cannot put a transfer case on a FWD tranny. Here is a pic of an AWD tranny with Xfer case. It wouldn't have what the arrow is pointing to.
