Is it ok to mix different brands of oil in a transmission? I currently have BG Syncro Shift II in there, but since i'm kind of low on cash right now and it's like $12/quart i was looking for something else to fill up with (i have a slow leak :thumbdown ). I saw Penzoil Synchromesh at Autozone the other day and it's only like $4/quart. Would it be ok if i just pour in some of the penzoil stuff with the syncroshift? Or should i drain the old tranny fluid and replace it with the penzoil stuff?

Also, if i have to drain the oil... I just have to undo the bolt at the bottem of the bellhousing and let it drain right? or do i have to drain something else since i'm AWD?

Thanks for the help
