Well my sisters car is acting up again. I wanna say the torque converter but Im unsure. It has a whining sound. heres a video any help would be good so I can get her off my back.

VID 20110901 190047 - YouTube

Fluid color is good, slightly over filled but should be ok. It also hesitates to shift and when it tries to shift it will get stuck and wont go back into gear.

does it make that sound in neutral, revving? because it seems that's how the video was shot. which if that is the case, then it's not the transmission.

It could be your starter, or one of your belts or pulleys. Disconnect the accessory belts and check. I'd say take a look at the timing belt too. Just open the timing cover and inspect while off and also while running. That or you could turn it by hand using a breaker bar in the crank pulley. good luck.

Damn thats alot of work to do on a car that I dont wanna #### with to much. The sound is louder on the tranny side of the car. I will check the belts and what not when I get a chance maybe today after work and Ill get back with a update. According to my sister it wasnt making the noise until after I replaced the TPS. But it also hesitatesto shift again and sometime will slip out of gear and not go back into gear.
