Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out if anyone offers a traction bar for the 2G FWDs. I was thinking that would be a one way to elimiinate most of the wheel hop and get off the line quicker. Does anybody know anyone who makes them? I havent seen anything out there and i was just wondering why not. It seems like there would be a market for them! Thanks

Jeff

Most people I have seen do this custom fab everything themselves. There are people on this forum that have done it... and I even recall an article on it somewhere. Sorry... no link? Beware! Some people will swear you are retarded and have renounced phiysics because a FWD cant pull a whellie, and provided you have the massive horsepower that would warrant bars, you can tell them where to stick it.

I'm just trying figure out if there is a market for this sort of product, which there seems to be, why there is nobody offering a kit. I'm looking to get one thats been thoroughly researched and developed, not something i come up with in my garage. Is there enough interest in a well engineered piece to spend the time on it?

There's no market for it because people wouldn't use it on the street, which is where 98% of DSM's spend all their time.

the thing is, if theres DSM's going to the track....theyre AWD, for the most part. thats why theres not a market because when at the track with DSM's, 99.9% of them are AWD for that reason....traction. the FWD's are just bad ass street cars.

I would be interested in traction bars (NOT wheelie bars). . . . .
