Is it possible for a TPS Sensor to work correctly when it is installed backwards? On a 1g the TPS sensor connector points toward the intake manifold. I have an aftermarket venom intake manifold and there is no clearance for the tps sensor to fit the right way. However, it does fit the opposite way with the connector facing towards the passenger side fender. It bolts in but Im not sre if its functioning. On my first run of link today the car would not idle but for only seconds and there was no reading from the tps.
If it wont work that way does anyone have any suggestions for fixing this problem and still keeping the venom manifold?

Yes it can be. Mine works fine. You have to put the tps on and spin it counter clockwise to bolt it on.

So then that wouldnt be why I have no reading on link then. I cant remember the process of putting mine on but do you remember if it went on rather easy or if it was possible to actually put it on wrong?

If you put it straight on, the 2 posts will not rotate with the 2 posts on the throttle body, which means no reading in dsmlink.

Thanks for the help. I did some checking and it was installed right but when I installed my venom intake manifold I had to extend the wires for the TPS and one of the connections was bad. So it was just a simple recrimp of a new connector.
