OK i have a huge problem with my car.....im guessing its electrical as i my tps is reading 100% at idle and with the key in the on position. Also my stock boost gauge goes all the way up with the key to the on position. My car is undrivable and i have a huge thread going on a local board ( http://www.htown-dsm.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3365 )
what would cause the tps to read 100% like that, and also my coolant temp and intake temps are reading -40 degrees.....

what would cause this...i already changed the ecu and a number of other things and the car is running super rich at idle

One of 2 things. Either your PCM is all freaked out and needs replaced, or you hooked something up somewhere that has caused this.

-40 is usually bad coolant temp sensor.

Check with key on to see if you have 5 volt reference on your tps. If you have 5 volts that says the pcm is trying to do something right.

If you do not have 5 volt but something else, then check connections for improper connection.

Do this and post your results. pm me so I can know.

Good luck.

Ok i took the reading on the 4 terminals with the key at the on position and i got this
12.2 Terminal 1
7.12 Terminal 2
.27 Terminal 3
10.8 Terminal 4

Shows how to check/adjust the TPS. I used this VFAQ a couple of weeks ago when I did TB seals. Might help.

Jim, as usual, you give another good answer and I can't award simply because you keep posting valuable stuff like this and I must spread the points around. In any case, if I could you give you a point for this, I would.

i dont think this is a tps problem its more an electris problem since a number of my sensors are going crazy (Tps, IAT, 02 bank 1, Coolant temp sensor) and they all seem to be wired into the MFI relay
