according to my SAFC my TPS is only 90% open. i did a search and realize how they read differently and so on. i still want to verify i have a good tps and that it is set correctly. i found a write up on vfaq but do not fully understand it. heres what i comprehend
1) pull throttle body out of car, check resistance between clips 1 and 4. there should be around 5k ohms in closed position
2) next you move the positive to number 2 and leave the neg at number 4. it should read near 900 ohms in that position
3) open up the throttle, at WOT it should stop at 5k ohms.
4) heres where i get confused, this is what vfaq says:
"Loosen the two screws (Phillips screwdriver) and rotate it to set the closed resistance to .9K Ohms (Haynes say 1.1 Ohms but Datalogger rebukes that). The pin resistance will remain about the same "
can someone comprehend that and help me please?
my next question is about my logger. i purchased a palm 105 logger and palm n stein logging software and it worked at first. i stored my car for the majority of winter and now my logger will say "fatal error" when trying to pull codes. it then resets itself. i am not able to log anything or pull codes. how do i delete the software on my palm? i would like to re-instal it since i have the cd's for it still. i couldnt find too much from a search on it.
thanks a lot guys
