Heres the deal, I had the tires on my 97 GS-T replaced and all of the sudden I have nasty torque steer. I did not change the wheels just the tires and they are the same size as the ones I took off just not bald. When I bought the car the previous owner had a Phantom Grip LSD installed, could something maybe have malfunctioned with that? The tranny is not making any noise though but when it breaks loose there is only a one tire fire, shouldnt both be smoking? Sorry so long but I think thats all the relative information.

LSD insert is probably dead. The spring loaded plates in there only last so long. Your new "meatier" tires probably grip the road better and that LSD was on its last leg anyhow.

if in fact it has gone bad though is it hurting my tranny? Should I just take it out and repalce it with a Quafie or Kazz?

If you have the money, get a Kaaz.

did ya replace with same brand + tread pattern ? if not
put the 2 of the new ones on the front.
