What would happen if I just decided to fill up my DSM with E85 in its stock condition?

Would it even run?

255 fuel pump
evo3 Manifold
15 psi boost
exhaust
intake

pure curiousity

Im sure it would run. But probably not very well. E-85 needs 30% more fuel to operate than regular gas. So I am not sure if your fuel system would be able to keep up. I would not recommend it.

what if I up to say 650cc Injectors with my current 255 fuel pump? is that enough?? i got a friend with some laying around i might consider taking them off his hands.

I doubt it would run. You wouldn't have sufficient fuel going into the engine. It does take 30% more E85 to make the same energy as pump gas. I've ran E85 on my DD (80 miles each day/ 5 days per week) for past 2 years. You will need to richen up the fuel table before running E85. I also run 650cc injectors, so that would be fine, but still need to tweak the fuel table.

Any kind of engine management will work to adjust your fuel. But you cant just stick the bigger injectors in with E85 and call it good. To do it properly you need to have the car tuned to your specific setup.

It would run but it would run like crap! you need at least 1000cc injectors a 255 pump and a good tune then it would be fine

That's where I run into problems because I'm still noobish on tuning as far as fuel management goes. I'm pretty sure I could figure it out using the little I do know, but I've just never had the oppertunity to tune other then CAS, and TPS if that counts as anything.

ya cant really do anything until you get some tuning done your could use the 650's though and get it tuned for the e85

save up an get the 1000cc injectors and try to find someone by you that has dsm link
your fuel pump is good but your injectors are to small
don't buy an safc, dsmlink can do everything an safc can do plus more
do you have eprom?

No but I plan on getting a Socketed EPROM and DSM Link eventually

Your car would run. It would run lean. It would run dangerously lean at boost. Your fuel system however, would be clean. Replace the fuel filter if running more than 2 gallons.

What do you mean? 2 Gallons as in fill up mostly with 93 Oct, then 2 Gallons of E85?

dont mix gas ## asking for problems if u want to run e85 bad get the supporting mods u cant just put it in ## stock car and make more power.
