Present the Pacific NW Start of Race Season Dyno Event - 03/05/2005

Let me preface this by saying that I know a lot of you have AWD cars and won't be able to dyno since we haven't gotten the second half of our dyno yet. But, this is going to be a major event and you're all welcome to come down and make a meet out of it. Or if you have a 2WD car you'd like to throw on the rollers, feel free to sign up!

All right guys it's that time again - TorqueFreaks is kicking off the season with another huge dyno day with free food, killer prices, and of course, free dyno time if someone maxes out our dyno!

As most of you remember, our last event had 600 people show up with 100 cars dynoing in two days. We saw both our Horsepower and Torque records fall and gave out 575 FREE hamburgers and hot dogs. It's time to do it again :) This is the perfect opportunity to get your horsepower and torque numbers before Woodburn opens on March 13th. For this single day event, we're limiting the number of cars to 50, so sign up as early as possible to ensure your spot. If you're just coming to watch, no problem, we have plenty of space indoors.

All 2WD cars and trucks are welcome to participate - we want to see EVERY type of vehicle on the rollers from stock 4 cylinder imports to heavily modified V8 domestics. If you've never seen a 1000hp car or a 1000ft-lb diesel truck on the rollers, this is your chance. Our dyno is capable of measuring 1800whp and 1800wtq.

Just like last time, if anyone can max out our dyno, EVERYONE dynos for free!

Pricing: $30 for 3 pulls
Time: 9am-7pm, Saturday, March 5th, 2005

To sign up, call TorqueFreaks at (503) 256-5600 x 4 or send an email to [email protected].

Sounds fun, Too bad hardly any FWD's went last year, I dont think I saw one DSM on that list from last year... LOL <-- Just saw 2 eclipses in the top ten, thats nice! Must of missed em before!

hopefully more make it out or do the welded diff thing and run there awd's as fwd...

Good Luck Sean!

great event, lots of nice cars and good power. saw one guy with a dsmtuners sweatshirt on, got an appointment to get a act 2100 put in my car. Only suggestion i have of for next event is have employees wearing name tags, and have the dyno guys yell out how much hp and torque the car put down. My car was the 98 white spyder.

Those are great suggestions. I'll try to implement them for next time. I'm glad you had a good time at our event. I'm still over in Europe tuning a bunch of cars but when I get back, I'll put together a post of all the results and a recap of this event. We'll have 2-3 more of these dyno days this year and the next ones should be multiple day events. I can't wait :)

I am thinking maybe a digital board for HP and one for torque, or maybe a large moniter that showed as much as possible. I am just thinking with all the noise and everything going on it would probably be easier to see what's going on rather than hear.

I know I would of enjoyed it more if I didn't have to walk over to the dry-erase board everytime. Anyone know what that dodge truck on alcohol ended up putting down?

Jake

We'll be implementing a couple of new things for next time which should make results easier to be announced. Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll be posting a recap here shortly. Take care!
