I currently have a custom tubular manifold
6262 .63 a/r proted 2.5 vband discharge
3" Thermal R&D cat back

The welder is making me a 3" vband downpipe.

I currently have a 18" resonator from vibrant
A spun cat with 43% more flow than a normal cat

My question is a couple old school dsm guys said I dont want to put another resonator on my dp its going to be too restrictive and im going to be losing hp.

They are completely against it. But they dont have to park with judges, cops, prosecutors, and rangers.

I dont want it to be obvious that I have 550 - 650 hp. I need a low profile. As of right now my cams bang off the windows of my neighbor who is coincidentally on our city board. I think one more 10-18" resonator will lower my anxiety.

I was reading corvettes taking off stock resonators with no gain of hp. So it cant be that restrictive.
Anyone have high hp with two resonators without problems ?

I used a cherry bomb on my car where someone had put a straight pipe in and used it as a resonator essentially. It quieted it down a bit. I don't see how a straight through flowing exhaust component would hurt unless it necks down or has chambers.

Ya I know. Its 3" all the way. I think they just like loud cars. I do to but not with my job. I already have a modified exhaust ticket under my belt.

The 18" vibrant is their bottle style. I havent picked out a second one. I am open to ideas. I heard a talon with two and a cat it was a nice low rumble. And my evo x friend has two and a cat which is the best sounding exhaust ever.

Whats tye worst that will happen. If I dont work for the government anymore it will be on the downpipe and an easy switch out.

I have every mod possible. Its a dream build so I can easily gain hp somewhere else. Im at the point where you hope you can handle it on the road LOL.

I was thinking of chosing a different brand than vibrant this time. What would you recommend ? And the ultra quiet ones look too big to fit. Has to be stainless.

For some God forsaken reason, the previous owner of my car had 3 (yes you read that correctly) resonators welded into the exhaust system. Needless to say, it sounds like ass. I would probably stick with a single resonator if I was you, or go without. But then again, cops aren't too bad where I live.

Honestly. If you want a quiet car and dont wanna sacrifice hp, get a daily driver to park next to the judges. 500-650 hp needs lots of breathing room trust me. My car looks 80% stock and i try to keep it as low profile as possible, but exhaust is not something you really wanna be choking with that high of a power output.
