im going for an all black theme on my car, i wanted to know of there was any secret to tinting the back panel of a 97 talon ( the tail lights and that strip of amber plastic between them)..is there a special tint you have to use or do you just get the el cheapo limo tint from autozone and go at it?

haha, i didn't see that, it must be the Ford version
Must be, but you can buy the VHT Niteshades at Jegs.com for about $11 a bottle. If you are doing all three taillamp pieces on a talon fairly dark, you will need two bottles, I did for my eclipse

i was thinking about having the center lens painted to match the body and then blacking out the tail lights....so let me get this straight, this stuff is like a die or something? how is it installed? just open the tail light compartment and soak it down with the stuff? sounds kinda weird to me, i have never seen anything liek that...do the make titned plastic covers for DSM'S?

Don't get the plastic covers... if they even make them for talons they look like poop. The VHT Niteshades is basically a spray paint, you clean the outside lens, after you have taken the assembly out, wait for it to dry, then just spray it on as dark as you would like.
