I fixed a few problems on my car last night and took it out for a log run. The car ran great, except when i pushed the clutch in to shift the rpms would not drop they would linger for a second and by that time i had it in gear. my friend was holdin the laptop so i wasnt watchin it, but when we got back to my house and i looked at it, heres a quick overveiw of what it said(not all entrys are in, just the relevant ones)
Also i seem to be a bit lean, am i correct on that?

~RPM, %adv., knock, O2
4500, 25, 0, .78 1st gear the whole gear looked basically like that
5400, 45,0,.58 (shift)
4600, 25,12,.79 2nd the whole gear was knocking like a sombitch
5600,45,0,.57 (shift)
4500,25,0,.80 3rd looked like that through the whole gear
5300,44,0,.57 (shift)

any suggestions on why the timing is spiking like that?

The timing spike is normal. When you shift, you let off the throttle, which decreases airflow to the point that the ECU is no longer in open-loop (WOT) mode. It will go back to reading the O2 sensor and aiming for the magic 14.7 a/f ratio, as well as maximizing timing for complete fuel burn. When you get back on the throttle full, it will go back to WOT, pull timing down, and run a safe, rich a/f ratio.

As for you running lean, it kinda looks that way, but I'm sure we'd all like to see the complete log to determine that. If 0.80 is the highest that your O2 value gets, then yes that's probably a little lean. The timing seems pretty high, too, but then again I have a 2G so I'm used to seeing timing in single digits and going no higher than 40 degrees.
