timing mark on crank pully?

hey everyone, did the water pump gasket and needed to redo the timing, everything runs good but now i need to use the timing light and time my car but here is my problem. i cant find any marks on my crank pully for the white paint on the pully itself, can someome tell me what the mark is close to on the pully example.....could the mark be close to the small pin hole on the pully?

In the following picture, it's where the finger is.

You can see the notches in this picture. They're on the left side of the image on the middle and inner ridges of the dampener.
