Timing belt spring tensioner

I have been ordering parts to do a timing belt install, but I am not sure on what to order when it comes to the tensioner system. I read that some engines came with the spring tensioner and some came with the hydraulic tensioner. What would be the best way to find out what I have on my engine?

If your motor is 420A, it uses hydraulic tensioners... so does the 4g63's.

If I were to buy the mechanical tensioner would I have to replace it every time I change my timing belt?

It is recommended yes as per regular maintenance.
