Hello, I have a question concerning the relation between timing and boost. I dont have a dsm, its a accord, with a 2gen manifold and evo 3 16g. The question is this.

I was running 8-9 psi with 16 degress of timing. i had to replace my distributor which needs to be adjusted again. Now it only pulls 13 degress and is hitting 11-12 psi.
Is there a relation to lower timing to increase boost?

thank you

I wouldn't think it would have any effect on boost unless you have some kind of knock detection that can affect the boost output like many cars that come stock with turbos or superchargers.

Otherwise, maybe your hose that goes to the boost controller has developed a leak and has raised the boost threshold?

thanks for the input, its not hose going from the manifold to the wastegate, i pulled it off and checked it. plus the hose hase super small hose clamps on it to keep it from ever being loose, it has to be the wastegate actuator or something else that i cant see. im going to pull off the wastegate arm from the flapper and see if that helps
