Can anyone tell me real quick what this connector plugs into off the top off of their head? The more I dig into this engine bay, the more crap I'm finding.

By the way, its located underneath the the tsat housing kinda

If Im not mistaken, I believe it goes into the water temp sensor under the lower radiator hose

Edit: On second though, it goes to the plug on the left side of the upper part of the thermo housing just to the left of the radiator cap

Looks like it's for the Temp sensor like said above.

You can clearly see in the pic posted that there's no Temp sensor anymore looks as though someone eliminated the sensor that goes above the T-stat right below the upper Radiator hose...

Thanks guys. Yea, I dont see that sensor there at all. But with that said, does it need to be tuned out or have a resistor put into the plug now?

Ok, it has a coolant temp sensor in the tstat housing and its plugged in so thats not it. It isn't the A/C temp sensor either. Though it looks exactly like it

I'll check tomorow, dark now. It looks like the plug that goes in the lower part of the radiator for low coolant level.

It's neither on my car. The A/C sensor is already plugged in and so is the coolant temp sensor. Oh well though, car is running pretty decent right now, just need to mess with the high idle issue in park/neutral

There are two engine coolant temperature sensors on the thermostat housing, one for the A/C and one for engine control. The one for the A/C does not need to be plugged in for normal engine operation. As you said before, you don't even have that sensor on your engine (at least according to the picture in your first post) unless it has been moved elsewhere on the thermostat housing. Check this thread out, particularly post #4 (which is the sensor you don't seem to have) and #9: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/382130-almost-finished-wireing.html. The proximity of the plug to the thermostat housing in your picture and the lack of the A/C related sensor there makes me think that is what you are missing.

However, another possibility is the A/C dual pressure switch: 1G DSM 4G63 Turbo Wiring Harness - Connector A08. It has a green w/ yellow wire and a green w/ white wire. It is on the A/C hard line that runs along the passenger side of the engine bay, but it's exact location depends on whether or not your car is equipped with ABS. Without ABS, it is right next to the fuse box; with ABS, it looks to be much closer to the firewall. Again, being A/C related, it won't hinder the car's performance.

Thanks for the insight! I'm not going to bother with it at this point, it's not effecting anything. I'm more concerned with the high idle right now
