First of all, you just don't slap parts like big turbos FMIC's, injectors etc. without some sort of tuning!!! Like most people here suggested already, go get a S-AFC and a datalogger (the logger is like a complete must with the level of mods that you have). About "dinoing" you can get a VCE from mach V or a welded center diff. I'm pretty sure RRE can hook you up with dynoing. Also check out www.diamondstarspecialties.com they also from socal and they have great prices and mike's a great guy.

You shouldn't be driving that car, you're better off putting the stock turbo and SMIC on and stock injectros and just play with the boost controller, I promise it will be faster than what it currently is.

Oh yeah that external fuel pump must be flooding your fuel rail if you don't have a AFPR. Go ditch that crap and get a in-tank unit.

RRE can still tune your car even if it is AWD. They do all types of work and they know DSMs inside out so if you take it to them they can get it working the way it should.

Any 50trim Garrett T3/T4 is a great turbo. If you have a really large exhaust housing it will take some time to spool, but should not be that bad. You should be able to make full boost no later than 4000rpm which should come quickly. If you don't have an AFC then your car is dumping lots of fuel and that's killing the spool time.

That turbo is capable of way over 400hp at the wheels and has pulled 4G63 powered cars into low 11's. It's a great comprimise between a small and a large turbo. It's the same thing that is used to make the Forced Performance Green model turbo which they call the ultimate street turbo and I agree.

Get the fuel sorted out and you will hand them their asses. I had an all motor guy tell me turbo cars are nothing speical once. He had never been in a turbo car. I took him out in my car and he could not believe the difference in torque between an all motor and a turbo powered car. Guess what he is in the process of installing on his car right now?

The car isn't bogging down b/c the turbo lag, its bogging down b/c the cylinders are getting about 35% more fuel then they should... You can have the shop you take it to tune it for high boost, but I'd recommend you set it at about 12PSI until you get used to it, then up the boost to what ever the tuner shop told you to run on the street.

Someone who is used to driving a 100HP DSM ( b/c the fuel problem ) getting into the same car after its jumped to 400+ HP could be dangrous. Just be careful, this car is going to be handful for you... And never let anyone else drive it, b/c they may kill your car and themseleves...

1) You have too much gas because you don't have any fuel control. This cause you to run pig rich and bog the engine, which in turn won't give you the performance you are looking for. Does your car puff a lot of black smoke when you mash the throttle?

2) Take it to a trusted DSM tuner. These cars are different than 75% of the other common cars out there and need someone who knows what they are doing. Obviously neither you nor your buddies at the shop do so find someone else. Road Race Engineering is by far one of the best on your side of the country. Go there. Engine tuning in is importent no matter what type of racing you do: rally, drag, etc.

3) You will get tons of advice from people in all knowledge ranges and all parts of the country. It's your responsibility as the car owner to find the correct info. If you don't want to do the work, then a DSM is a tough car to 'skate by' on. You need to know your stuff and know the car. Take time away from all the cheeba-monkeys (like in this thread) and read and research. The more you know, the more you will be able to qualify the guy who is going to work on your car.

4) Good Luck. You have a long road ahead of you. You added tons of parts before ever making sure the car was tuned first. Now you are in a pickle. It will take a while to get out and will cost you some money.

Once you lean out your fuel curve with a AFC maybe you should think about upgrading the exhaust. 2.5 is getting kind of small for a t3-t4 turbo.

You have to realize that you will run into #######s on this board and not everyone is like that, you just happened to bump into the wrong guys. Just ignore it and take what you can from the guys who actually know something. Most of the people on the board are here to help you out..

There are ways about getting help and there aren't. When you first get into the DSM game, you gotta read the FAQ from the dsm.org website. Second of all, I don't think it's too hard to ask to formulate a grammatically correct sentence, not one that requires a public key to decipher.

the stock injectors can provide adequate fuel uptp 16psi. with such a huge turbo you should get a fmic, ecu upgrade, roll cage and 6 point nascar style harness cause your gonna kill yourself in it when it's fully tuned. my car is stock except for a few intake mods,and i took out the balance shafts and i'm sure no honda can come close to it. heck I used to have an 88 escort gt they couldn't touch!
