thinking of buying a 97 tubro eclipse

yeah i found a pretty nice eclipse gt a 97 5-spd i belive its a gt any way but it has a moonroof fog lights leather steats a infinty sound system a $800 muffler system and most of all its tubro and it seems to run good only thing the 4th gear scratchs its said its out of sync and it also has 142k miles on it he is asking only $3000 for it do u think its a good deal its a very well kept car i figer i would get your input on the deal.

Ummmmmm, are you aware that only 3rd gen Eclipses have GT models?

But anyways.........it is a good deal but what I would do is take it to a mechanic to take a look at. He'll be able to tell you what the car's condition is.

Yeah, like he said. Take it to a local mechanic so you can put it up on a rack. And when you said it runs good, have you personally drove it yet, or is this what the seller is telling you? See if all the maintenance has been done..timing belt, plugs, wires....etc

wasnt aware i only owned talons but from when i test road with him it seemed to work good it through me back in the seat when it took off and the bad thing is the guy works odd hours from like 3am to 6pm so i dont know if i could get it on a rack in that bit of time and do they charge to look at them?
