Think This Intake Manifold Is Worth it?

DO NOT get an exhaust manifold from SSAutochrome, some people don't seem to have problems with them but most end up thinking it's a waste of money. I haven't perosnally bought anything from them, buit that's what I heard from other threads on this board.

Id say no to the ex. mani. Too many people have bitched and complained about them. also the sellers are complete assholes. I dont know what advice to give on the intake mani, i have read no reviews, good or bad on the intake manifolds, however they look good but hopefully someone has used one and will share some info. thanks

I got one of those intake manifolds. and it has worked fine for me. got 432hp and a really hard top end. only thing I can say I didnt like about it. is the weigh. it is not aluminum. and its kind of heavy. the one on the picture is the one you are asking about. I just painted it red.

any idea the gains you got on the intake manifold? noticable? product quality? thnx for the info guys.

To be quite honest I really dont see anything wrong with that perticular manifold ,And If I currently didnt have one i would probably buy that exact mani for anything under 250 usd.

The intake manifold on the other hand doesnt have any velocity staks inside and it does weigh quit a bit. My buddy decided to buy one since I myself have a magnus smim.

To be quite honest with you It's your choice ,and if you want to bight the bullet and get an intake manifold but your on a budget ,go for it , it cant do you too much harm except rob you of power where you once had it.

I chose both my manifolds because of their designs it just turned out the exhaust one was incredibly cheap and the intake was incredibaly expensive. Good luck.

If I were you I would just go with a 1st gen intake. That's what I did. You'd be amazed at the differences in flow...and you can usually find one for cheap. I think I might even have an extra. But like I said...it's alot cheaper and they're alot better than the stock 2g.

i wish i could afford a magnus but 700 is quite a bit out of my range. if i could gain 30hp with that manifold id be happy considering i spend 280, not looking for the best power but more. as for exhaust manifold i think im gonna take a chance and buy it. maybe ill even right a review about it. heh.

I got 432 with that intake manifold. so you guys are sayng that if I take out that manifold and put in the stock 1g manifold Ill make more power with out changing anything else?
No, actually what I was saying is that the stock 1g mani is much better than the 2g mani. I dont know how it would flow in compairision to the one mentioned in the original post.
Sorry for the confusion.

I actually happen to like that intake manifold. That intake mani looks better than stock and the cyclone. I'd get it if i was in the market for a manifold right now. Its gotta be a top-end gain over stock, to say the least. As for the exh. mani, its SSAutochrome....soo many horror stories on here that its almost enough to put em outta' business...

heh now im considering it again. armandovivoni, since you have personal experience, was it worth the money and did it bolt on pretty good? any problems? if you could get your money back after testing it would you want a refund or be happy with it?

I would consider the intake mani, but I wouldn't even consider the exhaust mani, I have never heard anything good about ss autochrome. If you are wanting it for performance, I would go with an evo or a slowboy exhaust manifold.

Im happy with it, as I said before it gave the car a harder top end. only it is a bolt on. only thing I had to do was put the 3 nipples on the rear of the manifold, for vacuum lines. the one I bought was for the stock throttle. then I bought a 70mm throttle and just opened the hole and made new screw holes and WALAAA. I compare it with the venom. my friend has a venom and its almost identical. only diference is mine doesnt have the trumpets inside.
