Has any one ever received the "NO REV" display from PALM N'STEIN ? I though it was my interface because PalmNS wroked for awhile but then just stopped. I called Multiplex and spoke to the engineer to see what was up wiht my interface and he siad its almost unheard of that they break, then he told me to download the OBDGAUGE so I did and all I see is initializing.....im going to try to change to Multiplex and ISO when I get a chance, but I just wanted to know if anyone ever got a "NO REV" display from Palm N' Stein? Thanks

I know for a fact that the palm and the cable to my interface are fine. I thought my interface was bad, so I called multiplex and he directed me to obdgauge. I have yet to check if its set up on multiplex and iso so I dont know yet if the interface is bad or not, But if obdgauge doesnt work after I set my palm to the correct settings then my Multiplex Interface took a crap on me for some reason. Ill just have to break and buy another. Ill set everything on my way home from the dorm today.

I get the No Rev allllll the time with Palm N Stein. Seems to do that one minute and then when I try again it all the sudden works. As far as OBDGAUGE, I don't know how to even get the software onto my palm. I try adding the files and all it says is "incompatible expansion card file". What the hell does this mean? I'm so sick of Palm N Stein and would like to give this a try. How do you get it onto the logger though?

Ok since your the only other person who has gotten a "no rev" from palm n stein....im gonna ask you are you using the multiplex Engineering interface ? and since your only getting initializing like i am and nothing more i bet its related tot he no rev from palm n stein. but have yout tried changin the interface to Multiplex and the protocol to ISO i was told to do that but it didnt help me at all maybe you will have better luck..... let me know what happens.

Don't know if this will help you guys, but I've noticed that if you exit a logging program and then immediately open it again, it wont connect. Or at least my palm wont. I have to wait about 5 seconds or so before opening again or else it wont work. Same with shutting the palm off. If i turn the palm on right away after shutting it off, it cant connect but if i wait theres no probs. I discovered this when I used to quickly switch between OBDGauge and PalmNStein, it wouldnt work unless I waited 5-6 sec.

Yea same for me , I don't know what to do now. I bought this item as an investment, not as a quick fix; I expected it to last. I had called multiplex to see what might have gone wrong and all i figured out is that my warranty ended 2 months ago......that = poor customer service in my opinion. Ill have to call back and be more assertive. ChrisFo does your palm N stein ever work any more ?.......can anyone else think of what else could be wrong ?

Okay, I got mine working. I had a CEL on, and thought that as a possibility why it wasn't working, so I cleared the CEL with Palm N Stein, and that did the trick. I don't know how or why, but now it works.

Okay, I got mine working. I had a CEL on, and thought that as a possibility why it wasn't working, so I cleared the CEL with Palm N Stein, and that did the trick. I don't know how or why, but now it works.

so your saying the cel stopped you from connecting ? I have one....its for the 2nd o2 sensor. maybe ill sauder my 2nd sensor back in and then get the code erased at Autozone and then try to connect. Atleast yours works.

No, everytime I go to connect I get the "NO REV" display My car wont connect to anything.....I think my interface went bad and that kind of upsets me.

PS- it seemed that I would get the no rev on the palm consecutively, so what I did that got it to work sometimes was turn the car off, disconnect the interface, reconnect everything and turn the car back on, and sometimes this solved the problem. Good luck.

Did anyone else get this software to work? All mines is doing is initializing and i tried all sorts of settings and it still wont work.. i ordered my datalogging kit on ebay and it came with it. but the darn thing keeps says initializing.. any ideas?

Link us to you "kit" and read carefully throught this thread, everything you need to know to get it working is in the thread already. If it doesnt work then its probably your protocol or settings.

As for the interface, i have no idea what the kit came with, but the person gave me directions to put the settings to elm 100ms. i tried that but still didnt work. I also tried changed the settings to multiplex and ISO but nope nothing still. :sigh: ive been going crazy for 2 days I hope someone has the answer..

Ok i tried the Logger on my moms 03lancer and it worked. i also tried again on my eclipse and it worked! disconnected the cable and tried again just to make sure it works. Now i couldnt get it to work again. deng there must be something wrong with my obd II port =(
my settings was on elm 100ms btw.

that is strange because i have the same problem and the thing does not work on my car at all!! just initialize! i connected it to my wife's acura 1997 tl it worked!

I am also having the same problem ("no rev" + "initalizing") I know it worked at least once I remember using palmnstein in the garage when I first got it. Since neither of the programs worked I figured it was either a bad cable or interface. Now yesterday I got my laptop to work with my interface so I know that isn't the problem. ! Anyway I wouldn't care if the palm worked or not but none of the windows based software I've tried gives graphs or logs runs like mmcd, pnstein, and OBDgauge. Anyone have any help for us???

i'm not sure if i missed this or not but does this software work with the pocketloger cable and a laptop? i have an emanage and would like to be able to log the stuff my haked emanage can and the suff my pocketlogger can on just my laptop instead fo the pda and laptop... is this possible
