test pipe ?

ok i want to get a test pipe for my car i have a custom catback with a resonator should i just put a piece of piping where the cat is. how much louder will it be? and will it hurt the car or throw a cel ? thanks in advance

I recently replaced my highflow cat with a test-pipe, its sounds alot better, no ill effects, small hp gain also, 5-10hp
