Hi i just recently bought a 99 gsx. The previous owner had seized up the transfer case and i bought it off him. Now that i have it I just broke the output shaft of the t-case. I looked around seeing if anyone had upgraded their t-case but couldnt find anyone(or maybe didnt look hard enough). I found a t-case from sheptrans and was wondering if other people have this t-case and what u think of it. If u possibly know about any other options please let me know. I'm trying to get something ordered for it by this weekend. Hope to hear from someone soon.

You can get an upgraded transfer case but honestly, people run 10's and 9's with stock transfer cases. The easiest and cheapest thing to do right now is look for a used one. Just make sure you get one that matches your drivetrain. In your case with a 99 gsx, you would need a 23 spline from a late 2g.
And if you broke the output shaft in the transmission, you should be able to find someone to sell you one. Jacks transmission sells them new for about 280 or so. And the shaft can be replaced with the transmission still in the car.

i have a transfer case. pass me 50 bucks for it and pay for shipping and its all yours. PM me if interested. It came off a GSX.. 90k miles. Ran fine before i literally swapped it with a TSi motor tranny and trans case!

If this is from your 95 Tsi (judging from your ad) it won't work on his 99 because of the difference of the gear ratios from the 95-96s to 97-99s.

I would find a good used late 2g t-case and just swap it out. Post a WTB ad and call or pm one of our vendors like S&M.
