I was thinking of getting a tsi since I can't find an gsx. I would convert it to an Eclipse but I don't know what all I'll have to do in order to accomplish this.
The front bumper is already converted to a 97 Eclipse bumper (so are the headlights) but what materials would I have to buy in order to convert the rear bumper and taillights??? Can the Eclipse rearlights be simply switched with the talon lights or is there some cutting, filling, reshaping required?
And if the lights have been changed will the Eclipse rear bumper be easy to fit onto the Talon???

yeah, ok but will the Eclipse lights fit in perfectly instead of the talon lighs or will I have to do some modifications?

they will bolt in place, no modification, did you not read the post before your last one.

the most modification you might have to do is drill a hole or two if they arent there already.

good luck

k, thx guys. By the way, I read the previous post. I knew that I need to get the rear bumer and tails but I wasn't shure if they can simply be swapped instead of the talon lights.

wrong, you have to drill some holes to get the lights to fit, once you do that you have to either make brackets for the eclipse bumper or else cut off the old ones and weld on new ones, i think you already asked this stuff once and i replied...along with others, who have done this swap....

or drill a few holes on top of each other and use zip ties to pull it in like i did LOL

not wrong, i said he may have to drill a few hole to make the lights fit. to me, thats not a major modification. you could use a hammer and a nail to smack holes in the metal :D

and as far as the supports, seems alot more people find ways (such as zip ties) to hold it rather then making brackets. just from what iv seen in the hundreds of threads like this.

techincally you dont need all 3 brackets... what I did on mine, was went to a reputable shop, and had him break off the middle bracket, and relocate it higher to where It was needed for the bumper, he charged me $40,I drove there without the centerpiece, middle trim piece in the trunk, or the bumper on, had the plate ziptied to the bracket in the back, clipped the ties when I got there, and once I was relocated, got 2 more ties and put it back...... The bumper is held on fine with just the center bracket, and the corners where it attaches to the quarter panels.... but if you're like me and paranoid about it...make some makeshift spacers, get some lonng bolts and stack up some washers(I epoxy glued 'em together as I went until I got the right height), and then put them where they needed to be on the 2 other brackets. and bolted everthing in, no problems since. :)

Oh, and, the 97-98 Talon bumper ownz the Eclipse one :D too bad mine's on it's last leg and will need replacing eventually.

well im sorry but i dont think i would want to run around with my rear bumper held on by wire ties, i was talking about getting it done right and not rigging something up, people who do theirs with wire ties probably also hold their sideskirts on by just putting screws through them :nono: i was just trying to tell him how to do it and have it done right and not worry about anythin going wrong with it. :thumb:
