taking tail lights apart?

has anyone done this? im trying to get the paint off the inside of it... should i just try the diferent ways people do their headlights and corners?... ie heat gun, hot water, or over? let me know.. and ill post some pics of my tails when im finished...

Are you trying to make them clear? If so, I just bought a 90 AWD that I have no intentions on driving, I'm going to part it or sell it, But it has the complete clear tail light set which is brand new... I'd sell them for a good price and you can even come pick them up in person if you want I really woulden't mind or care.

no im not tryin to make them clear, but do you ahve a pic of those? i might be i interested... the stripe of paint on the 1g tails is color matched on the outside and then there is grey or white on it the inside... im trying to get them so the whole thing lights up...
