how many bolts are there on a eclipse? Where would they be found at? Would I have to take off my front bumper and side fenders?

Whoa, it's not simply that easy. With a question like this I really don't think you should be doing this yourself. Make sure you get a Chilton's or a Hayne's manual. Or an experienced friend.
There's a bunch of bolts. Some nuts, a couple of clips. And a ton of sensors.

Take it to a shop that specializes in this. You dont want you putting your hands on hundreads of parts you know nothing about.

There are a few bolt holding the motor in. The motor mounts should be 17 mm, but you have a lot of cables and hoses holding the engine in. you will have to probably drop the tranny as well (struts, lower control arm, transaxels), out of the bottom of the car. you shouldn't have to remove the front bumper (connected to the fender and under the nose of the car) but i have found that it's easier to work with the fenders off so you don't damage them. The fenders are bolted on under the hood(6) , inside the door panel (2) and on the underside of the car (2). They should be 10mm and 12mm. most of the sizes you will need are 10mm 12mm 14mm and 17mm. This is not an easy process and if its your first time i would recommend labeling EVERYTHING if your planning to put an engine back in.
