tach acting crazy and car dies

Got my 6 bolt swap running today, followed all the directions from magnus to a tee. It fire right up ran great let it get to operating temp and took it out for a drive. Got about 0.2 miles from my house and the tach started jumping all over the place the car was still running fine. Then about .2 miles further down the road with the tach still freaking out the car died and would not start back up.

Crank the car over a few times with no luck waited about 10-15 minutes and cranked it over again and had a pretty decent backfire so im guessing that it was getting fuel but no spark then when it cooled down it got spark again? Totally stumped here any help is much appreciated.

Check your power transistor. It may have come loose or have oil in the connector.

Good connection on the plug and its dry, so im guessing its dying and its showing symptoms when it gets hot. Off to get a new one this morning ill post if it fixes it thanks.
