First off, I am not sure where to post this.

I picked up a 92 Laser RS that is bone stock. the Vac lines are all cracked and I am sure the emissions components are shot. I remember seeing the Taboo Speedshop diagram a while ago, and by searching I quickly found the link. HOWEVER, upon clicking the link, my antivirus yelled at me and says the site is a malicious threat.

I went into sandbox mode and clicked away. nothing comes up.

Does anyone have a copy of the 1g emissions diagram?

Also, be careful heading to that site. Avast and AVG both say its a threat.

Thanks, I am not sure how I missed that thread.

Under the hood of this car is a mess... the only thing under there is the DSM plate.

I appreciate the quick response. I was just out screwing around with it. (verifying timing and looking over the belt.) I got the car super cheap, so I expected problems. so far I cant find any other than boost leaks. These original soft intercooler charge pipes are weathered really bad. Also has a cracked valve cover. but other than that its in great shape.

No problem.

That soft IC tubing is always a problem area nowadays. Hard pipes for the OE SMIC or a FMIC is the best solution.

Along with a boost leak test, a compression and leak down test will be a good idea. Inspecting the plugs will tell a story too.

Thanks.
I plan on doing the compression test and leak down test as soon as I clean up these boost leaks. I havent had to use this boost leak tester in a while. It loses pressure pretty darn fast. I had to spray a little diluted dish soap around to see bubbles. haha

I assume dejon sells a hard pipe kit for the 1gs still?

Dejon does still sell piping for the stock IC. I have an upper pipe from them that I got used from another member here. Good quality piece.

I also got a smic piping set from Punishment Racing for $130 and have been happy with it. It came with nearly every pipe- the only piece it doesn't replace is the turbo outlet elbow (but RRE sells a replacement that's good). It took a little tweaking to fit but it's basically a bolt-on kit.
