Hey guys. My service manual says the next recommended change is at 90k miles. However, I really can't afford to do it yet. When I changed the t-belt at 60k, I changed everything out with brand new oem stuff except the water pump. The water pump is in good running condition and is not leaking or anything like that. SO my question to you is, can the t-belt wait until 120k?

Thanks for any help.

You should be able to wait. Honestly it's every 60k miles so if you did it at 60k why do it again at 90k? I did mine at 60k and will do it again at about 110-120k.
;)

Should be fine.

cool, thats what I thought. It's just the damn service manual, I like to follow what it says religously, and it says change it at 90. But I looked at the belts and they are fine, most of the parts I put on there are still ew looking also. The final thing is I drive 120 highway miles a day, so it racks up quick.

I'm definetly going to wait, I just wanted to see if there was some unknown reason that it could not wait until 120k

Thanks

No problem.
I drive 60 a day myself and I'm comfortable waiting till 120k.
:)

Goodluck!

98RedGs is correct i just had mine done for the first time when i bought the car at 72000 miles, I don't even think they did the water pump, they told me they would only do it if it looked bad since it would just be more cost effective to check and not replace....everything is fine on it...and it seems like it will stay that way..sorta ticked though b/c i'm ripping the motor out next year and putting in a hopefully built 6-bolt.... :D

P.S.-with our cars its also nice with the T-belt cover , if your really worried about it, take that off every so often to make sure the belt isn't starting to fray or get oil from a leaky seal, mine was doing both...hense the replacement.

Every 60k is correct, but always change the WP.
